This photo was taken for the fast and slow shutter speed assignment. What I like about this photo is that although it was windy, nothing came out blurry. My point of view was straight forward. This photo follows the rule of thirds because the top layer is the sky, the second is the water and the third layer is the weeds. The depth of field is large. I took this picture with my iphone but if i used a camera, the ISO would be set around 300 and the White Balance would be cloudy. |
I selected this photo because it is one of my favorite portraits. Compositionally, there is a dramatic effect because
the lighting if coming from the upper right corner. Also there is texture shown by the curls in his hair and his shirt being wrinkled. To take this photo I had the camera set on a fast shutter speed and aperture of f/8. |

Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is the patterns in the sand. There is also a lot of texture throughout this photo seen within the waves, the sand, and the fluffy clouded sky. This picture was taken unedited with my iphone on vacation. The mood of this picture was very peaceful. This photo reminds me of summer and the beach.

This photo was also taken for the portrait assignment.
What I like about this photo is the beautiful blue from the models eyes compared to the scarf covering her face . My point of view was straight on. The photo Follows the rule of thirds because the scarf covers the bottom third, then her eyes are in the middle and the top of her head covers the top. The depth of field is large because everything is in focus. The ISO was set to around 500 and the White Balance was et to fluorescent. |
